  • 320ml Warm water
  • 7g Yeast (1 standard packet)
  • 13g Granulated sugar
  • 30ml Olive oil
  • 1tsp Salt
  • 450g All-purpose flour
  • 1tbsp Cornmeal dusting
  • 2x 400g Cans chopped tomatoes

  • 1x Small onion
  • 3 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2tbsp dried oregano
  • 2tsp brown sugar
  • Small bunch of basil, finely chopped
  • Mozzarella
  • Parmesan
Making the dough
  1. Mix the warm water, yeast and granulated sugar with a wooden spoon in a large bowl.
  2. Add the olive oil, salt and flour. Keep mixing.
  3. Knead for about 5 minutes
  4. Coat a bowl lightly with oil and place the dough in the bowl.
  5. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave to rise for 60-90 minutes.  
Making your pizza sauce
  1. Warm a splash of oil in a saucepan over a low heat
  2. Chop the onion into thin pieces, add salt and add to the saucepan
  3. Saute for 12-15 minutes
  4. Add the garlic and fry for another minute
  5. Pour in your chopped tomatoes, puree, oregano and sugar
  6. Bring up the heat until it starts to bubble and then lower it back down
  7. Simmer for 30-35 minutes until thick
  8. Add the basil and freeze if there is any left over.
Topping your pizza
  1. Preheat your pizza oven
