Tree Rings and Tree Guards

So what is the different between them? You’ll recognise tree rings as a common feature in public space landscaping. They are a grate design that sits around the trunk at its base. This creates a level surface without root disturbance and removes any potential tripping hazard. Additionally, they protect the trees roots from damage too. Also, the grille design means that air can circulate around the base of the tree and water can easily get to the roots. For maximum protection, we recommend purchasing a grid that supports the Tree Ring. You’ll then be protecting the roots from any weight applied to the Tree Ring from people walking over it.

As well as Tree Rings, you should consider having Tree Guards. Our range of Tree Guards are designed to fit in seamlessly with the Tree Rings. Tree Guards protect the tree from bikes being placed against it. This is particularly important whilst the tree is establishing itself.

Style
