Named for the fabulously wealthy family bearing the hereditary title ‘Duke of Westminster’, the Grosvenor cube planter is bound to add a little stately splendor to your home or garden design. It doesn’t bear any motif or elaborate design, but simple elegant lines. Because this planter is in every way unoffensive, it will fit with all your current fixtures and fittings and the available finishes are unlikely to clash with any other permanent features.
Though you may not live in Eaton Hall, like the Duke of Westminster – it is likely that your home or garden will look all the better for these spectacular window boxes. These fibreglass planters are available in a ‘Faux Lead’, which is by far our most popular range and will fit seamlessly wherever you decide to put them. We also offer these in ‘Antique Faux Lead’ (Pictured in the gallery) to give your planters an aged appearance. This finish will fit particularly well with traditional garden designs.
Compared to the materials they imitate, fibreglass is lightweight and easy to position, so you won’t have any trouble placing these exactly where you want them. When they are filled with soil they are heavy enough to hold their position well – against the wind which may be a problem in an exposed position. Fibreglass is also weather resistant, so these should more than adequately stand the test of time.
As both of these available finishes are quite dark and conservative, we think that these planters would be best made up with something colourful. Any range of bright perennials would be perfect. However – given that this is a ‘stately’ planter, it would also be ideal for a stately plant – like buxus. It would be perfectly suited to flanking the approach to your doorway, or forming a screen against your window to keep nosy pedestrians from peering inside. Whichever way you plant these up, they are bound to make an elegant statement.
