Steel Patina Cube Planters with Feet are made from welded hot-rolled mild steel, which means they are sturdy, durable planters built to last. Steel Patina is seen as a cheaper alternative to corten steel, as it still develops rust on the outside but has a lower copper content. This means it develops a darker orange colour on the outside, perfect for contrasting with green foliage or bright beautiful plants. What is mild steel?

Mild steel is an alternative material to corten steel. It naturally weathers and forms a rusty patina on the outside, this creates a deep orange colour. It has a low carbon content, this means it is easier to shape and weld.

Steel Patina Cube Planters weather over a period of 6-12 months. Please be aware during this period, there may be run off from rainwater. Therefore, if your planter is sat on surfaces like stones or concrete it may stain.

After your planters arrive, please unpack immediately to prevent any irregular staining.
