The gradual taper of Steel Patina Tapered Planters creates a sense of symmetry and visual interest within an outdoor area. They can be placed either side of a door way or openings, why not use as a focal point in the garden when placed strategically to create a contemporary, industrial atmosphere. They will look fantastic planted with topiary or alternatively a mixture of hanging plants with a centre structural center piece like a Cordyline. Steel Patina is seen as a more cost-effective alternative to corten steel, they still develop an orange rusty patina on the surface but it is darker compared to corten steel. This is due to their lower copper content.

What is mild steel?

Mild steel is an alternative material to corten steel. It naturally weathers and forms a rusty patina on the outside, this creates a deep orange colour. It has a low carbon content, this means it is easier to shape and weld.

How will your mild steel weather?

Steel Patina Tapered Planter weather over a period of 6-12 months. Please be aware during this period, there may be run off from rainwater. Therefore, if your planter is sat on surfaces like stones or concrete it may stain.

After your planters arrive, please unpack immediately to prevent any irregular staining.
